Fun fact: What's on my home screen?

I'm a sucker for a home screen screenshot

Fun fact: What's on my home screen?
My current phone background: Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona on Kodak Ektar 100 film (March 4, 2023)

Fun fact: I love keeping a digital time capsule filled with screenshots of my laptop and phone overtime. It's so cool to look back and see what I was using frequently or what I considered important. I figured today I'd post this and share what's on my iPhone screen these days!

The phone: iPhone 16 Pro (white, T-Mobile)

The background: A film photo I shot with my Nikon FE (1978) and a 50mm f/1.4 NIKKOR lens on Kodak Ektar 100 film in Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona on March 4, 2023

Top used apps: Messages, Camera, Instagram (😭), Spotify, and the Apple Notes app

Worth noting: Forever Notes is a framework (not an app) for note taking designed for the built-in Apple Notes app (although you could implement it in any app). If you take a lot of notes and want a simple but powerful way to organize things, definitely check this out!

While I don't consider myself an astrology queer, Co–Star is a fun app that I like to check here and there. If I have a low stakes decision to make in my day, I might just go see what Co–Star thinks lol

CARROT Weather is the single best weather app and I will not be entertaining further apps at this time tyvm. So worth the cost if you're obsessed with the weather. Fast, detailed, customizable, great Apple Watch support... the list goes on.

I use 1Password constantly. I've used other password management apps before but 1Password is my absolute favorite. Clean UI, built-in two-factor codes, lots of different entry types like IDs, banks, and secure notes, and works so well with the family plan between me and my partner.

Okay that's all for now! Happy Halloween 🎃 and I hope you have so much good candy! (Also if you haven't subscribed, my very first newsletter comes out tomorrow morning! So you should do that!)
